Dr. David Theo Goldberg David Theo Goldberg, Ph.D., is the Director of the University of California Humanities Research Institute, and the Executive Director of the Digital Media & Learning Research Hub. He holds faculty appointments as Professor of Comparative Literature and Criminology, Law and Society, and Affiliate Professor of Anthropology at UC Irvine, and is a Fellow of the UCI Critical Theory Institute. |

Suedine Nakano Suedine is the UCHRI program administrator, assisting with various aspects of program management. She serves as a resource for program information and handles queries from applicants, grantees, and committee members. She coordinates various program services and interfaces with staff, faculty and researchers in all UC campuses. She graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in International Relations. |

Arielle Read Arielle is an alumna of UC Irvine and has worked at the university for 22 years. She joined UCHRI in November 2008. Her responsibilities include personnel (both academic and staff), event planning, facilities, and the on-campus apartments (available for the Residential Research Groups and visiting scholars to the Irvine campus). She also is executive assistant to Director Goldberg. |

Sharareh Frouzesh Sharareh is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Literature at UC Irvine. She works on modern Iranian and apartheid South African literatures, with an emphasis in critical theory and women's studies. She is a recipient of the American Comparative Literature Association's Horst Frenz Prize, and has published on diasporic cultural production and resistance literature. She is working on a dissertation entitled The Use and Abuse of Guilt: Culpability and Blame in Discourses of Sovereignty and Subjection. |

Dr. Mizuko Ito Mizuko (Mimi) Ito is a cultural anthropologist, studying youth new media practices in the US and Japan. She oversees research activities of the Digital Media and Learning Hub and is developing a research area focused on interest-driven learning. She is a Professor in Residence at UCHRI, and has appointments in the Department of Informatics and the Department of Anthropology, and is the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Chair in Digital Media and Learning at UC Irvine. |

Claudia Caro Sullivan Claudia Caro Sullivan is a developmental psychologist and educator specializing in creating innovative multidisciplinary initiatives for children, teachers, and parents. She holds an Ed.M in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from University of California, Irvine, Claudia is in charge of development, execution, and evaluation of project activities and events for the Digital Media & Learning Research Hub. |

She holds a Masters degree in Demographic and Social Analysis from UC Irvine. |
